Joel Epstein
Founder and Managing Broker
Mr. Epstein has over fifteen years experience in real estate including
residential brokerage, commercial brokerage, residential and commercial
development, real estate law, and real estate financing. Mr. Epstein has a
Juris Doctor from Kent College of Law and a Masters of Business
Administration from the University of Chicago. Mr. Epstein is a licensed
Attorney and Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois. Before founding
North Shore Buyer Brokers, Mr. Epstein was with the Tenant
Representation Group of Jones Lang LaSalle in Chicago. In this
capacity, Mr. Epstein was directly responsible for negotiating multi-
million dollar real estate transactions for Fortune 100 companies.

Sharon Epstein
Buyer's Agent
Mrs. Epstein began her real estate career in 1993 with a major downtown
real estate firm focused on the Gold Coast. After a couple of years, she
took a leave from the real estate industry to pursue a teaching career.
Mrs. Epstein has a Masters of Education from Loyola University. Mrs.
Epstein has six years of teaching experience in a wide variety of school
systems and situations. Sharon was born and raised in Winnetka and is
intimately familiar with all of the suburbs in the North Shore.

Alison Lupel Chiaro
Broker Associate
Mrs. Chiaro holds a Juris Doctor from Kent College of Law. She is a
licensed Attorney and Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois. Alison
lives in Evanston and has been a life long resident of the North Shore. In
addition to providing her clients with outstanding service, Alison also
teaches a Law class at Evanston Township High School one day a
week. Her legal experience and in depth knowledge of North Shore real
estate is a valuable asset to her clients.

Deborah Horning
Buyer's Agent
Mrs. Horning has been a resident of Lake County and Chicago most of
her life and currently resides in Grayslake. She began her real estate
career with a residential brokerage in 2003, following several years of
selling Pharmaceuticals. She has a BA from Northern Illinois University.
In addition to patience and understanding, her clients can expect great
attention to detail and technological know-how in finding the right home.

Debra L. Koller
Buyer's Agent
Mrs. Koller has a background of both Residential and Commercial real
estate coming from top real estate companies. She claims she was born
into the real estate business since many of her family members have been
in the business for generations. Debra has a BA from Illinois State
University. Due to personal experience and vast knowledge, Debra’s
specialty is helping families that have members with special needs
understand the resources available to them in various communities.

Katherine Erickson
Buyer's Agent
Mrs. Erickson holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has managed a design and
manufacturing business. She also has experience renovating and selling
houses in a variety of markets. A resident of Winnetka, she enjoys
connecting people with homes that fit their lifestyle. Whether new
construction or an old beauty, her design background enables her to see
the possibilities for each home and client.
